Introduction

 We as a team have reviewed the project description which involves completing a group research project assignment where we will select a company and conduct an in-depth analysis of its management information systems. We are required to prepare a detailed research paper, a blog, and a PowerPoint presentation. The research project will be divided into milestones with specific deliverables for each phase. The first milestone is the acknowledgment. The project outline due in Unit 2 is the next milestone which requires us to create an outline of the project, including the introduction, business strategy, analysis, and conclusion, and develop a Gantt chart for data collection. For unit 3 we will complete the business strategy which involves five force analysis identifying the competitive strategy, and defining the value chain for the company we choose. Unit 4, we will work on business processes where we must describe the company's dynamic process. In unit 5 we will complete the project analysis which requires identifying the information used to support the processes we analyzed in the previous phase. In the final phase, we will complete the research presentation which includes a PowerPoint presentation summing up the main elements of our project. Each team member must provide a voice-over for at least one slide.  Finally, we will wrap up the project with a research paper and blog which should contain a paper of 3000 words in length and include a detailed analysis of the company, and the management information system involved. The deadlines for the project are clearly stated with the total points to be awarded with the completion of each milestone. We have reviewed the project description thoroughly and are clear on the requirements, due dates, and deliverables for the project.
